Both holding league records of 7-3, the Waiakea and Hilo boys basketball teams competed for third place in BIIF Division I on Thursday night. On their senior night, the Waiakea Warriors defeated the Hilo Vikings 53-48.
First place Konawaena will play second place Kamehameha Hawaii in the BIIF Division I Championships next week.
